Packs
The trade packs on this computer and which one crux uses for new jobs.
A trade pack is everything crux knows about one trade: its playbooks, knowledge, templates and wording. Settings > Packs lists the packs on this computer, each with its version, and says which one is In use.
- In use: new jobs and chats with no job use this pack.
- Installed: jobs set up with it keep using it.
- Use this pack makes another pack the one in use. crux says "<pack> is now in use. New chats use it; jobs set up with another pack keep theirs."
A pack your license does not include is shown greyed out with a line saying why, and cannot be picked.
Each job keeps its pack
A job remembers the pack it was set up with. Switching packs here changes what new jobs and general chats use; it never changes a job you already started.
One chat with another pack
When your license unlocks two or more packs, you can switch the pack for one chat from the chat header, without changing anything else. See Use another pack in one chat.
Pack updates
Packs update themselves along with crux. When one was updated, its line says so (hover to see the version it was before). See Updates.
What a pack can add
Besides its knowledge, a pack can add its own tabs (Pack pages), its own Settings sections (Pack sections in Settings), company files (Company) and help pages.
