Brain

What crux remembers about your company and your jobs, drawn as a map you can search.

The Brain tab shows what crux remembers about your company and your jobs: facts you saved, things it noticed, and past work sessions, drawn as a map of dots and links. Your bid documents are not here; they are searched separately when crux works on a job. Everything crux learns stays on this computer.

Reading the map

  • The numbers at the top count Memories, Facts, Sessions and Links.
  • Drag to spin, scroll to zoom, and click a dot to see it.
  • Search memories… finds dots by their words. Show or hide each kind turns kinds on and off (facts, lessons learned, work sessions, topics, observations and more). Reset view puts the map back; Show everything clears a search that matched nothing.
  • Click a dot for About this memory: What it says, Where it came from, When, and what it is Linked to.

The Brain tab only shows. Nothing you do here changes a memory.

Adding and removing memories

  • Tell crux in any chat, "remember that…", or add a fact in Settings > Knowledge.
  • To remove something, say "forget the note about…" in chat, or delete the fact in Settings > Knowledge.

If it does not show

  • crux’s memory is not running right now: click Retry. Your memories are safe on this computer. If it stays off, try Fix it on the Chat tab's status line (Troubleshooting).
  • This computer could not draw the graph, or The graph stopped drawing (the graphics card was reset): click Try again. This is about drawing only; nothing is lost.
