Bid Board
Every bid you are chasing, from your calendar and added by hand.
The Bid Board lists the jobs you are bidding: what is due, when the walk is, and when questions close. It fills itself from your calendar once email and calendar are connected, and you can add bids by hand. crux only reads your calendar; it never changes or sends anything.
Connect your calendar
Until email and calendar are connected, the board shows Set up email and calendar. That opens Settings > Connections & setup > Email & calendar. See The setup wizard, step 7.
Once connected, crux checks your calendar on its own every so often. Sync now checks right away; the line under it says when it last synced and when it checks next.
What you see
- Coming bids are grouped by day (Today, Tomorrow, then dates). Past dates from the last two weeks are below under Past two weeks.
- Each row says what is due (Bid due, Walk, RFIs due, Forms due or Milestone), the project, the general contractor and the time.
- A tag shows the event's Outlook category when it has one, or Added by hand.
- Once a bid has a result in your bid log, a tag says Submitted, Won, Lost, No bid or Withdrawn. See Win/loss.
- Open folder opens the job's folder. Create bid folder makes one for it inside your bids folder. If several folders match, the row shows Which folder?: open it and click the right folder.
Add a bid by hand
For jobs that are not on your calendar. It stays on this computer.
- Click Add a bid.
- Pick What (for example Bid due or Walk), type the Project, and optionally the General contractor.
- Type the Date (like 9/28/2026), and optionally the Time (like 14:00; leave it empty for all day) and Where.
- Click Add to the board. Remove takes it off again.
Which calendar events count as bids
Open How to name calendar events on the board. See The Bid Board and your calendar for the naming rules and the category options.
