How to
Write the proposal
crux drafts the proposal on your letterhead. You review it and send it yourself.
crux drafts your proposal to the GC or the customer on your letterhead, with your company details and logo from Company. It is a draft: you review it and send it yourself. crux never sends it.
1. Ask for it
In the job's chat, ask: "write the proposal". Tell crux the price and any breakouts or alternates the way you want them shown. crux writes:
- the price and breakouts as you dictate them,
- the basis of the proposal (the documents and addenda it covers),
- inclusions and exclusions, each tied to the documents,
- Addenda acknowledged, from the boxes you ticked on the Project tab (see Addenda),
- anything you chose to Bid without it, as an exclusion with its citation.
Every proposal goes through a final wording check: short, plain and protective of your company.
2. Review it
The proposal appears on the Project tab under Drafts crux produced, and in the Binder under Files crux made. Click Preview to read it in crux, or Open in Word to change it there. To change wording, ask crux in the chat or edit it in Word.
3. Send it
Send it the way you always do, from your own email. If you connected email, crux can save an email draft for you; you press send.
Also from the same chat
- Submittal register after award: "build the submittal register".
- Contract risk scan: paste or attach a subcontract or purchase order and ask crux to scan it from your side.
