The font and signature every email draft crux saves in Outlook carries.
Settings > Email sets how the email drafts crux saves in your Outlook Drafts folder look. crux never sends email: you open the draft in Outlook, check it and send it yourself.
Microsoft does not let crux read your Outlook font or your Outlook signature, so you set them here once. crux then applies them to every draft and every reply it saves, so the chat never has to remember them.
How your emails look
Pick the Font and the Size (in points, like the size box in Outlook). New Outlook starts with Aptos, size 11, which is also what crux uses until you change it.
Signature
crux adds your signature under every draft and reply, with your logo and any other pictures in it. Three ways to set it:
- Copy from my last sent email. crux reads your newest email in Sent Items once, only when you click, finds your signature in it and shows it in the preview. Nothing in your mailbox changes. If that email has no signature (a quick reply from your phone, say), click Try an older one. This needs Outlook connected on this computer: Settings > Connections & setup > Email & calendar.
- Paste. In Outlook, select your signature in an email you sent and press Ctrl+C. Then click Paste. Pictures come along.
- Type it in the Type your signature box, one line per row. Click Add a picture… to put your logo under it (PNG, JPEG or GIF, under 3 MB). A wide logo is shown 240 pixels wide.
For a signature built with a table or links, click Edit as code to change its HTML in Signature HTML (advanced). Hide code closes that box.
Preview and Save
The Preview shows a sample reply with your font and signature, the way crux will save it. Click Save when it looks right. The next draft crux makes uses it. Undo changes goes back to what you saved last.
Replies
A reply crux saves stays in the same conversation in Outlook, with the original email quoted below it. When the email had other people on it, crux can save a reply to everyone. Each email gets one draft.
