Buttons

  • Check now: checks the license right away.
  • Update payment or plan: opens your billing page in the browser to change the card or the plan.
  • Release this computer: frees the license so you can activate it on another computer. crux stops working here until you activate it again.
  • Rotate key: makes a new key. The old key stops working everywhere, and this computer is activated with the new one. Use it if you think someone else has your key.

To move crux: Release this computer here, then enter the same key on the other computer. See Your license key for buying, activating, and a lost computer.

When the license is not usable

If a payment fails or the subscription ends, crux says why. When a payment does not go through, there is a 7-day grace period, shown on this page. Depending on the reason, you see Update payment, Renew crux, Buy crux, or a place to type a key. If the founder price applied to your plan, renewing after it ends is at the regular price.

If crux cannot reach the license server (no internet), Check now says Checked offline and how long the license stays valid without checking in. crux checks again when the internet is back.
