Knowledge

What crux knows about how your company works, and how to add, correct or turn off knowledge.

Settings > Knowledge is what crux knows about how your company works. crux uses it in every chat and estimate, and cites it like any other source.

Company knowledge

What you told crux to remember, and what it learned while working.

  • Add a fact…: give it a Title (optional), say What it is about, and write The fact, in your own words. For example: "We always price new drywall as one coat of primer plus two finish coats." Click Save.
  • Edit or Delete a fact. Delete asks first: Delete this fact? crux forgets it everywhere.
  • Search finds a fact by its words.

You can also say "remember that…" in any chat, or "forget the note about…". The Brain tab draws all of it as a map.

Your company

Your company's own written knowledge, kept for the pack in use: standards, procedures and the like. It arrives with a pack or a company profile file. crux cites it like any other knowledge.

Built-in knowledge

The trade knowledge crux came with, one topic per line.

  • Doesn’t apply to us: turn a topic off and crux stops using it everywhere. Turn it back on the same way.
  • Add a correction: write Your version, in your own words, then Save correction. crux uses your version instead of the built-in text. It is also saved in Company knowledge, where you can edit or delete it. Remove correction goes back to the built-in text.
  • Search topics, or tick Only what you changed to see just the topics you turned off or corrected.
