GC pack · Estimating Intelligence

Cost data

Your company's own pricing history. Budget a trade nobody quoted, browse projects and trades, and inspect any recorded quote.

Cost Data (Estimating Intelligence > Cost Data) is your company's pricing history: every quote recorded from your jobs, by project and trade.

Budget an uncovered trade

When no sub has quoted a trade yet, get a budget number from your own history:

  1. Trade (required), and the Quantity and Unit if you have them.
  2. Project SF, Region, or an Item or keyword to narrow it.
  3. Click Estimate. Clear empties the form.

The answer comes from your company's own history only and is always budget-grade: it shows the history it rests on and never counts as a quote. Carry it only as a budget, tagged so (see the BASE BID estimate).

Projects

Every project in the history: its code, building use and type, bid date, outcome and size. Click one for its project profile and its recorded quotes.

The × at the end of a row removes an empty project (one with no quotes or cost rows): click it, then remove? to confirm within a few seconds. A project that still has quotes is refused, and nothing changes.

Trades

Each trade with its number of quotes and the average quote. Click one for the trade detail: its history, the median and the range.

Recent quotes

The latest current quotes: project, trade, subcontractor, date and amount. Superseded, pending and auto-captured rows are left out. Click Inspect quote for its quote evidence: the source file, the pricing method, the base, line items, alternates, inclusions and exclusions, its confidence, and the original base quote when it was revised.

Where the quotes come from

Every quote crux reads for a job (in leveling, on bid day, or when you say "review this quote") is recorded here with its source file, date and project. Nothing is typed in by hand. See Records and win/loss.
