Materials
Prices you have confirmed for paint, sundries and equipment, and how crux marks old or undated prices.
Settings > Materials is your price book: the prices you have confirmed for paint, sundries and equipment. crux uses them on your estimates.
Note: A price with no date, or older than 90 days, is marked budget-grade on estimates, so you can see which numbers still need a current price.
What a price holds
Product, Maker, Price (and its unit), Vendor, the price's date, and a note. Prices are grouped by the list they came from.
Add or change prices
- Add prices: type them in, then Check these rows, review and save.
- Upload a file…: a supplier's price list (Excel, CSV, PDF or Word). Match the columns, then fill in the Vendor, Maker and Date on the price list for rows that do not say. Prices without a date count as budget prices.
- Import a folder…: a whole folder of rate and price files at once. See Import a folder of rate files.
- Save an example template to my Desktop: a blank price sheet to fill in and upload.
- Edit with crux: a new chat where you say what to change in plain words, for example "raise this maker's prices 4%" or "update prices from this quote". You see every change before anything is saved.
The search box finds a price by product, maker, code or note. Delete this list removes a whole list (you confirm first).
Supplier quotes
A supplier's quote for one job is different from your price book. Ask crux to review it in a chat. See Supplier quotes.
