How to

Supplier quotes

Have crux read a supplier's material quote, check it against the spec, and add its prices.

When a paint or coatings supplier sends you a quote, crux can give it a light review and add its prices to your materials list, marked with where they came from.

Review a quote

  1. Start a chat in the job (or a general chat) and click the Review a supplier quote quick action, or just say "review this supplier quote".
  2. Attach the quote with Attach files, or paste its text.
  3. crux reads it from the file and checks:
    • the products against the job's spec,
    • the units, and how long the prices are valid,
    • freight and tax terms,
    • anything missing or unclear.
  4. crux shows you what it found and the prices it would add. It saves them only after you say so.

Prices from a quote are recorded with their supplier and date, and show on estimates as From a supplier quote. Prices you have not confirmed stay budget-grade.

Many quotes at once

Import a folder… in Settings > Materials also finds supplier quotes in a folder. They are recorded in a chat, with their supplier and date, so crux can check them against your jobs.

Where quotes are kept

Quotes are kept with crux's company data on this computer, and in your backup. If your trade pack connects a company database, quotes are kept there instead, so the whole company shares one record. See Pack sections in Settings.
